My Coaching Philosophy:
The 5 E's

Empathy. Educate. Enjoy. Entirety. Energy.

Empathy

Imagine what the world would be like if everyone incorporated a little more empathy in their daily lives and in their relationships. I try my best to incorporate empathy in everything I do, but especially as a trainer with my clients. I want to know what they love, what they dislike, what motivates them, what makes them happy, what gets them excited. In knowing my clients and understanding their point of view, I can make the best decisions for their safety, health, and happiness.

Educate.

I view personal training as an opportunity to educate others. I am a teacher by heart, and I love sharing my knowledge with others. I explain the "why" behind everything we do because it's important for my clients to understand. Working with a personal trainer is more than just exercising -- it's about learning new exercises and new approaches to fitness. I like to think of myself as a teacher of exercise fitness and wellness.

Enjoy.

With exercise, if you aren't having fun, it's probably not going to become a lifestyle change. It's important to spice up old routines, think outside the box, and workout in a group or with friends. I'm committed to finding fun and creative ways for my clients to discover the joys of living an active lifestyle.

Entirety

Good health requires all aspects of life, in its entirety. If we eat a good diet but never exercise, we’re never going to see the results we’re looking for. If we exercise and follow a good training plan for running a marathon but don’t get enough sleep, we’re not going to perform at our best. And if we do everything right but fill our lives with stress, that stress is going to be detrimental to our cells’ longevity. When working with my clients, I don’t just focus on exercise and training plans. I want to make sure they’re eating well (and enough), getting enough sleep, and most importantly, keeping stress at bay -- in other words, the whole person, in its entirety.

Energy

Energy is everything. Energy is life. Without energy, life becomes difficult and tiresome. With energy, the world is at your fingertips. With energy, we can achieve our dreams and ambitions. When done right, exercise and training boost your endorphins, increase your metabolism, and hence, give you more energy. I want to give this to you -- help you feel better and have more energy in your daily life because, at the end of the day, energy is everything.
